I am not the most patient cookie decorator – but I am so going to have a go at making these!  But may just find them too cute to eat.

Jacqueline Wilson’s Super Fan Party

Regular readers will know of my recent commission by Dame Jacqueline Wilson to create a crafty piece to coincide with the launch of her new book Sapphire Battersea.
Jacqueline Wilson is a legend – and the most borrowed author in British Libraries, selling over 25 million books in the UK alone.  Most famous perhaps for her character Tracy Beaker, she has very loyal young fans (including my daughter!).  I cannot tell you how thrilled and utterly honored I was to be asked to complete this challenge for her.
Today Jacky sent me this picture of her and the sampler at the Superfan Party for the book launch – so I thought I would share …
The sampler is in Septembers The Official Jacqueline Wilson Mag..  there are lots of events this Autumn for Jacky’s fans, including her very own festival.. so this really is a very exciting project… and you can download it for free here for a limited time only.

Retro Chic Icon Stitching

I said I would share more of our Cross Stitcher pieces available in this months mag – and here they are..

The team wanted to do some quick stitch Nostalgic Icons – and seeing as that is what Pearl and Earl is all about we interpreted some of them into mini adaptable stitch charts.

Choose from our Pop Top Camper, Space Hopper, Mix Tape or Chopper Bike .. you can embellish to your hearts content

The charts are available in this months issue – and we will have them to download on our Granny Knits site from next month.

Love Launches… just in time for Valentines Day

Happy Valentines!…
We are romantics at heart, and so thought the eve of the big day, was a perfect time to launch our new Wedding Sampler Cushion Kit.  The kits contains all you need to make the cross stitch modern sampler in our signature British Virgin Wools, and a full alphabet for you to personalise at will.  If you dont feel confident personalising the sampler – we will produce a bespoke PDF for a small fee.  We think our sampler is new and fresh and one of a kind, and hope you love it as much as we do.
In addition I thought I would share my little LOVE PURSE  project, which will be launched as a FREE PROJECT cross stitch pattern online for a limited time only later this week.
Last but by no means least… we thought we would share some of our other favourite love inspired cross stitch kits…  the LOVE LOVE and MULTI HEART.
Hears hoping you all get lots of hugs, kisses and big love tomorrow …  xxxxxxoooooxxxxx from all of us here at Crafty HQ

We are feeling all Christmassy in Granny Knits this week…  thanks to the lovely Kirsty Allsop promoting Cross Stitch on her HOME MADE HOME last week, we have had a record breaking week on our site…. and feel even more inspired to create new lovely things to share.

Our latest FREE PROJECT is this taster from our JOLLY HOLLY EMBROIDERY PATTERNS…  3 Christmas Stockings, which I have stitched onto some shop purchased vintage napkins for our Christmas Table this year.

Please let us know how you get on by posting pictures on our FACEBOOK PAGE and the best project every month wins a free kit!

Embroidered Button Project Live

Your votes are in – and you asked us to load up the EMBROIDERED BUTTONS as our latest free project on Granny Knits…  so here they are.
I have designed a mini collection of patterns which can be used on our 15mm self covered buttons – you can mix and match with self covered patterned cottons scraps.
You can super size them up if you desire – or if feeling a little bold – go freestyle, like we did with Libby’s name button.
The madder the better we feel!

Embroidered Buttons & Free Projects

We have been working on some new project ideas for Granny Knits..  as mentioned in one of our old blogs.  Lots of people have got in touch asking to see the results and see if we are selling any of the patterns…

Well not all finished yet – but I am thrilled with the test subjects so far – and we have come up with a free 22mm button cross stitch project and 15mm embroidered patterns for our FREE PROJECTS section on the website.

We are planning to add lots of new things to this section of our site going forward..  and would really appreciate your feedback on these things, using it and the kind of stuff you would like to see going forward…

Happy Stitching
