We got a New Look…

Look who got a new look!  Pearl and Earl celebrates its 5th Birthday this month ..  so we are getting a bit of a mini make over!

We have decided to tighten up our ship ..  building on the success of Pearl and Earl’s colourful lifestyle store.  So all of our brands are coming under the Pearl and Earl umbrella and our blog is first in line for the relaunch with the focus on what PEARL AND EARL LOVES…  Home Style, Art, Crafts, Celebrations and Adventures.  Still Nostalgic Chic in style, we will continue to blog about everything we love, but add in a few more DIY’s and INSPIRATIONS as this is what you have told us you want us to do.

All the old blog posts, recipes, crafts and inspirations are still there – but we are making it easier to navigate over the next few weeks… oh and it has some nice new features too

Our Record Breaking Monday Stack

Today the elves at Pearl and Earl HQ took a few minutes to celebrate a record breaking week for us last week.  We are only a small business with a limited supply of Santa Helpers – and we managed to ship well over 1500 orders last week!..

It meant that faithful printer (only a year old) gained a new friend last week… in the form of a new internet printer that means we can print and do lots of online stuff via our ‘handhelds’ from the stock rooms.  Including chat to you on HQ help!

Here’s a pic snapped this morning of the first print run this week…  and today is Cyber Monday so we know we have 2 more challenging weeks to make sure you all get your Christmas goodies!

Coffee is brewing ….  think we will need it!

Destination Downton

We have been producing our Bespoke Destination Bus Blinds since 2009… and have produced lots of them for famous and not so famous clients over the years (including quite a lot of MARRY ME wedding proposals!)

But this week we have shipped one of my favourites…  DOWNTON to the director of ITV’s Downton Abbey (my favourite telly Sunday Fix) for his office.

Never has my mum been so proud :)

In Recovery

I am back home now from the op and in recovery…

Thank you to all of you who have sent well wishes, and I should be up and running in full effect in a few weeks. Meanwhile I am loving the time out to rest, think, stitch and write up my next book (which is weird when number one is not out yet!)..

Big thank you to my fabulous consultant and all the team at St Richards in Chichester, who were a jolly set of souls. Plus to the lovely ladies in my ward – get well soon x

Eloping with Bongo

I am off for an op next week – and have been VERY busy this hols writing my book, finishing our mug project, designing new Christmas lines and working with some very lovely people to make sure we hit all their deadlines (oh and working with a hurricane who has been holding our decorations hostage in the States) .. phew

So how lovely today that Mr H could see that perhaps I needed a little break to chill out.. so he sorted out a liason with the lovely BONGO from our friends at Vanilla Splits. .. and had turned up packed, with kids in tow to head off into the promised fair weather this week.

So goodbye dear friends and I will fill you in en route (weather and wifi permitting)!..

PS – This week orders are dispatching today and tomorrow and the rest will be out on MONDAY due to crafty packers hols

We know that of late we have been a little quiet on the social front…

We have been busy working on a lot of new projects, including my new book and the success of our kits have kept all the team on their toes! Packing Birthday Bonaza

todays kits for dispatch

 Well the last few weeks have been fraught to say the least…  we were organised for Christmas and even prepared for the increased sales with all our fabulous press…  but we were not prepared for the snow!  The domino effect on our delivery networks and therefore supplies in and products out have been a nightmare..
So today is the last day for ordering as Royal Mail have bought forward last 1st class posting to today and cannot guarantee next day on special delivery.  We are sending all orders special delivery who are marked as pre Christmas – so fingers crossed they all get to you in good time!
The reception to our Granny Knits designs old and new have been phenomenal, and Jacqui has had a great reaction to her column – and today is our Birthday!  A year ago we were dispatching only a few kits a week – and now we are in the hundreds! 
Our ‘twisting yarn ladies’ fingers are in need of a rest – but not before they tackle this new batch of yarn just in – which includes our new retro warm pallette.
